Sunday 14th March - Point to Point Working Party
Meet at Cherrybrook race course at 1045. If you can spend an hour either before or after lunch please come as there is plenty to do for all strengths and abilities. The tasks will be to prick out the open ditch roll the course; face the fences with leylandaii; from repair a toe-board; paint the toe boards; put the new padded knee rails in position. Lunch provided. It would be helpful if you could let Adrian know if you are coming 0777 966 7181. Look under the Point-to-Point button for photos of the progress so far.
Saturday March 20th - Horse Racing Evening
Horse racing at Walkhampton Village Hall - 7.30 pm. Cash bar and Pie & Pint type supper available.
A card of 6 races with 8 runners per race.
Sponsor a race for £20; become the owner of a horse (you can then name the horse) for £5.
Names of sponsors and owners will be printed on the race card.
A tote will be run, payout on the winner only. Prize for the winning owner.
Admission £5 per person on the door.

First Weekend in May - Bluebell Ride
The annual bluebell ride will take place on the first weekend in May - date and time to be confirmed. The ride will start from the 'Dartmoor Diner' on Roborough Down and a donation of £10 will be asked for. Further details will be published as they become known. Sunday May 9th - Guided Moorland Walk
One Sunday in May Richard Ware will lead a Dartmoor Walk from Pork Hill car park, starting at 11:00am and finishing at about 3:00pm. The walk will explore bound stones, relics of tin mining and quarrying. No sponsorship just a fee to pay on the day. More details later from Richard Ware 01822 854214.

E-mail and Text Messages
The Hunt Committee are striving to improve communications with subscribers and supporters and, concurrently to reduce administrative costs. To this end the committee would like to increase the use of email to distribute things like the pledges catalogue and to alert people to events, and to use text messages for urgent alerts such as the cancellation of hunting due to frost.
