MERCHANDISE  

 

A new range of Hunt merchandise is being sold by the Young Hunters Club.  Hoodies, Polo Shirts, Fleeces, Beannies etc are available (click on Merchandise for details).  They will be available to buy/order at the Opening Meet otherwise call Kennels 01822 852178 or Zoe Cole 07837 827321.

 

OPENING MEET DINNER - Thursday 23rd October  

 

After last years resounding success the Opening Meet Dinner will be held at the Dartmoor Inn, Lydford on Thursday 23rd October.  7:00 for 7:30.  Dress smart casual.  Tickets £25 per head from Martin Allison 01579 351067 or email nog42@hotmail.com.  There are only a few tickets left so book now to avoid disappointment.

 

HUNT SUPPORTERS AGM - Thursday 6th November

 

The Hunt Supporters AGM will be held at the School House, Sampford Spiney at 7:00pm, followed by a bonfire and food.  By kind permission of Olivia Tatton-Brown and Andy Ridler.  You can just come to the bonfire and food if you don't want to go to the AGM!

 

YOUNG HUNTERS DISC0 - Friday 7th November

 

The Young Hunters Club are holding their inaugural Disco at Meldon Village Hall on Friday 7th November.  9:00 pm - 1:00am.  More details later.

 

PLEDGES  EVENING WITH  WINE RECEPTION AND BEEF CARVERY SUPPER – Saturday 29th November 

           

The 20th Auction of Pledges will be held at the Yelverton Memorial Hall on Saturday 29th November at 7:30pm. 

 

Previous auctions have included a variety of excellent pledges. Day’s out with local packs, fishing, shooting, stalking, cross-country walking, sailing and horse racing – delicious cakes, gourmet hampers, ‘at home’ dinners, pub meals, teas, barbeques and picnics – children’s pony rides, riding and driving lessons – hedge trimming, day’s work and tractor and digger hire – hay, straw, horse feed and logs – rug cleaning, clipping, shoeing and horse hire, trips in a micro light and days out in a sports car – hairdressing, pilates, therapy, baby and house sitting, gardening and holidays – spirits, wine, beer, joints of local meat and fish – walking sticks, pictures, prints, engraving and many more valuable or interesting lots – including a donkey!

 

The evening promises to be enjoyable with a wine reception between 7.30pm and 8.00pm and the bar open all evening. The first half of the auction will start at 8.00pm, at 9.00pm a cold beef, ham and salmon carvery followed by the Spooner’s ladies famous puddings. The second half follows at 9.45pm.

 

Pledges must be entered for the catalogue by the 5st November. No late entries taken as we need to ensure that everyone knows what is on offer as we aim to make the best price for all lots.
