COUNTRY SHOW 2014 - Sunday 27th April

Helpers for the Horse Show are needed on the day of the show to do the following:     

One person to run th to run the main ring at 1:00pm for the Inter Hunt relay
One person to run the car park 7:00 - 9:00 am
The Hunt Supporters need help in the food tent 1:00 - 3:00pm 
Helpers for the Dog Show: 


Volunteers are needed for the Lurcher Coursing that takes place from 0930 until approx. 1130 on the morning of the show.

We need a minimum of three people to help with the coursing by ‘flagging the gates’ which requires no previous experience.

This is a great opportunity to see racing dogs doing what they do best.

Ideal for bored teenagers who need fresh air and excitement, if you own one please volunteer him!

Working Parties 

Friday 25th from 10am - putting up ropes, orange fencing, setting out the car park, signs and general setting up of the show.

Saturday 26th from 10am - Tents, Marquee and general finalising of the show.
Sunday 27th from 4:00 pm - clearing up
Monday 28th from 9:30am - clearing up

BLUEBELL RIDE -  Saturday 3rd May


The Bluebell Ride will take place at Maristow, Near Yelverton on Saturday, 3rd, May


A pleasure ride of about 8 to 10 miles long with a shorter option, mainly on woodland tracks with great views. Starting times between 10am and 1pm. Marked route in your own time. £10 a rider with rosette. A donation from proceeds will be made to the Devon Air Ambulance. Signposted from main A386.

SKITTLES MATCH Thursday 15th May 


The Hunt Supporters are holding a Skittles Match against the Young Farmers will be held on 15th May.  The venue has yet to be finalised but will be either at the Blacksmiths Arms, Lamerton or the Copper Penny, Chipshop.  More details later.  





In accordance with Hunt Rule 3 nominations for the Hunt Committee are to be made in writing to the Joint Secretary, (Jeannie Lopes - jl0@mac.com) by 1 May 2014.  Email will be deemed as being in writing.


In accordance with Hunt Rule 10 nominations should be from Members of the Hunt, they are:

- Land owners and farmers occupying land within the Country of the Hunt, over which hounds are welcome to move.

- Persons over the age of 18 who have paid the appropriate minimum subscription for the 2013/14 season.

- Anyone invited by the Committee to become a Member for special services to the Hunt.
