FINAL PREPARATIONS FOR THE POINT TO POINT 

 

The run in towards the Point to Point is here.  Working parties will be held as follows:

 

Thursday 2 April; Friday 3rd April - Set up the Point to Point.  Bang in stakes; rope off the course; erect orange fencing; put up the marquees and tents; move furniture from the shed to the marquees; put up hurdles; erect the wings at each fence etc, etc. 

 

Please come and help - every hour helps.

 

NOMINATIONS FOR THE HUNT COMMITTEE  

 

In accordance with Hunt Rule 3 nominations for the Hunt Committee shall be made in writing to the Joint Secretary (The Hon. Mrs Jeannie Lopes) by 1st May 2015.  Email is deemed to constitute ‘in writing’.  

 

In accordance with Hunt Rule 10 only Members of the Hunt can be nominated.   Members of the Spooner’s and West Dartmoor Hunt consist of:

·         Owners of agricultural land and working farmers occupying land within the Country of the Hunt, over which Hounds are welcome to move.

·         Persons who have paid the appropriate minimum subscription or over within the period 1st May 2014 to 30th April 2015 and were 18 years old or over on the 1st May 2014.

·         Any person invited by the Committee to become a Member for special services to the Hunt.  

 

BLUEBELL/SPRING RIDE - Saturday 18th April

 

The Bluebell/ Spring Ride will take place on Saturday 18th April.  Starting Between 10am to 1pm from the Dartmoor Diner, on the A386 just north of Roborough. Light refreshments available at the start

 

£12 per rider.  A donation to the Devon Air Ambulance

END OF SEASON SUPPER - Saturday 18th April 

 

The end of Season Supper will be held in the Yelverton Memorial Hall on Saturday 18th April.  7:30 for 8:00 pm.  Tickets £15 from Gan Ross 0777 582 8836. 

 

SPOONERS COUNTRY SHOW - Sunday 26th April

 

We are now looking ahead to this year’s show which is on Sunday 26th April 2015.  We are hoping for sunny, warm weather which is the final ingredient required to make a super family day out.  There will be trade stands, children’s entertainment, bar, hot food, homemade cakes and sandwiches to cater for all the family.  The Main Ring will be host again to the Inter Hunt Relay Team Event which was a huge success last year.  So come along and support your favourite team.  The family dog show will commence at 12noon.

 

There will be prize money for the Intermediate and Open Show Jumping classes not forgetting the Supreme Championship prize of £100.00.
